A discovery made by British Traveller Frank Smith in 1931 – Valley of Flowers is literally the paradise in India. Towering Himalayan peaks looking over the valley of flowers set in the tranquil environment and situated at an altitude of 3800 meters from the sea level. The Valley of Flowers is nestled in the upper expanses of Bhyundar Ganga near Joshimath in Garhwal region. The lower reaches of Bhyundar Ganga near Gobindghat are known as Bhyundar Valley. The Valley of Flowers is in the Pushpawati valley 23 km north-northwest of Nanda Devi Park. Valley of flowers offers an unparalled beauty and has acknowledged by renowned mountaineers, botanists, and in literature. With millions of species of wild flowers such as saxifrags, sediams, lilies, poppy, calendular, daisies, geranium, zinnia and petunia, the valley of flowers also holds many streams that add on to the natural beauty. The rich bio diversity of valley of flowers is also home for several species of butterflies and insects too. The valley of flowers was declared a national park in 1982 and now it is a World Heritage Site.

Stay Plan

Leh – 5 Nights
Nubra – 1 Night

Detailed Itinerary

Day One	Arrive at Leh Arrival Leh in the morning. Transfer to the hotel. Full day of rest for acclimatization to the high altitude of Leh (11,500 ft / 3500 mtrs). Overnight in hotel.
Day Two	Leh local sightseeing Breakfast. Visit Shey Palace, Thiksey Monastery, Hemis Monastery & Stok Palace Museum Afternoon visit Shanti Stupa. Overnight at the hotel.
Day Three	Leh-Nubra Valley After breakfast leave for Nubra Valley, driving across Khardong-la (alt: 18,380 ft). After descending from the pass, drive on for sightseeing of Sumoor area. Later check into a fixed camp in the same area or drive across to Deskit for overnight stay in a camp.
Day Four	Nubra Valley-Leh In the morning visit / explore Deskit , Hundar and the Sand Dunes where you can enjoy a short camel safari using the double-humped Bactrian camel found here (optional on direct payment). Later drive back to Leh, reaching in the late afternoon / evening. Overnight at the hotel.
Day Five	Leh-Pangong Lake excursion-Leh Full day excursion to Pangong Lake (approx. 300 kms round trip, located on the Indo-China Border), enroute crossing the Chang-la pass (alt: 17370 ft.). After sightseeing around the lake, drive back to Leh reaching in the late afternoon / evening Overnight in hotel
Day Six	Leh half day sightseeing Morning is at leisure. Afternoon visit Sangam (confluence of Indus & Zanskar Rivers), Magnetic Point, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Kali Mata (Temple of Guardians in Spituk monastery) & Hall of Fame. Evening Exlore local market. Overnight in hotel.
Day Seven	Departure Leh Early morning transfer to the airport for taking the flight back home. Tour concludes.
