Bhutan

Bhutan, a Buddhist kingdom on the Himalaya’s eastern edge, is known for its monasteries, fortresses (or dzongs) and dramatic landscapes that range from subtropical plains to steep mountains and valleys. In the High Himalayas, peaks such as 7,326m Jomolhari are popular trekking destinations. Paro Taktsang monastery (also known as Tiger’s Nest) clings to cliffs above the forested Paro Valley.

Thimphu

Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital, occupies a valley in the country,s western interior. In addition to being the government seat, the city is known for its Buddhist sites. The massive Tashichho Dzong is a fortified monastery and government palace with gold-leaf roofs. The Memorial Chorten, a whitewashed structure with a gold spire, is a revered Buddhist shrine dedicated to Bhutan’s third king, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck.

Paro

Paro is a valley town in Bhutan, west of the capital, Thimphu. It is the site of the country’s only international airport and is also known for the many sacred sites in the area. North of town, the Taktsang Palphug (Tiger’s Nest) monastery clings to cliffs above the forested Paro Valley. Northwest of here are the remains of a defensive fortress, Drukgyel Dzong, dating from the 17th century.

Detailed Itinerary

Day One	Arrive at Bagdogra Airport Later proceed to Phuentsholing by road.( 4 Hours ) Complete Immigration formalities for travel to Bhutan and transfer to hotel. Enjoy Dinner and Overnight Stay in Phuentsholing.
Day Two	After Breakfast proceed to Thimphu by road ( 4.5 Hours ). On the way, visit Crocodile Park, Kharbondi Gumpha, Wankha Waterfalls and Chojum. Dinner and Overnight Stay in Thimphu.
Day three	After Breakfast proceed for City Tour. Visit, Thimphu Chorten Chang Gangkha Monastery Simtokha Dzong Thimphu Institute of Zorig Chusum National Library Kuenselphodrang Changlimthang Stadium Archery ground Handicrafts Emporium The Folk Heritage Museum Textile Museum Dinner and Overnight Stay in Thimphu.
Day Four	After breakfast proceed to Punakha. Stop by at Dochula view point, visit Chimi Lhakhang and later, transfer to Paro. Dinner and Overnight Stay in Paro.
Day Five	After Breakfast proceed for City Tour. Visit Drukgyal Dzong, Rinpung Dzong and Taktsang Monastery. Dinner and Overnight Stay in Paro.
Day Six	After Breakfast checkout from hotel and depart to Phuentsholing ( 6 Hours ). Check into the hotel and spend leisure time.
Day Seven	Time to Depart from Bhutan , After breakfast proceed to board return flight from Bagdogra Airport.
